The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement of talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Sultanate of Oman, describing it as a constructive step toward advancing dialogue and promoting de-escalation, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) praised the Sultanate of Oman for creating a supportive environment for the negotiations, highlighting its role in fostering mutual understanding at both regional and international levels.
The ministry commended Oman’s hosting of the talks as a demonstration of its constructive engagement in strengthening regional security and stability.
The UAE reaffirmed its position that dialogue, de-escalation, respect for international law, and the sovereignty of states form the most effective framework for addressing current regional challenges. The country emphasized its unwavering commitment to resolving disputes through peaceful and diplomatic channels.
The Ministry further expressed hope that the ongoing consultations would produce positive results, contributing to reduced tensions, enhanced regional security, and the broader cause of peace and stability in the region.
