Bears dominated the Pakistan Stock Exchange this week after the State Bank surprised markets by holding the policy rate steady.
Investor sentiment was further dampened by Fauji Fertilizer Company’s weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter results. Coupled with futures rollover pressure, the benchmark index shed 4,993 points, or 2.6%, closing at 184,174.
In this week’s Stock Watch, Nukta’s Shuja Qureshi and Shahbaz Ashraf welcome Fawad Basir, Head of Research at KTrade Securities, to analyze upcoming banking sector earnings and the broader market outlook.
