Pakistan’s Navy successfully conducted a test of an indigenously developed, ship-launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile (ASBM), the country’s military said on Tuesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the advanced missile demonstrated its capability to strike both maritime and terrestrial targets with high precision.

Equipped with modern guidance systems and enhanced maneuverability, the weapon marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defense technology.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, oversaw the test, joined by senior scientists and engineers involved in the project.

The ISPR said the successful trial highlights Pakistan’s growing indigenous technological expertise and the Navy’s commitment to protecting national maritime interests.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other senior military officials congratulated the teams responsible for the project.
