The Dubai Health Authority (DHA), under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has launched the Mental Wealth Framework, aimed at supporting the mental wellbeing of Dubai’s community. The program aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33’s goal of making Dubai a world-class destination for living, working, and visiting.
His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, director general of the DHA, emphasised mental wellbeing as a crucial component of community health and a key goal for major cities worldwide. He cited the fast pace of modern life as a reason for prioritizing mental health. He also stressed the need for well-structured and evidence-based initiatives to help residents manage daily stressors and their potential impact.

The Mental Wealth Framework introduces a comprehensive set of initiatives that will enhance Dubai’s global reputation as a preferred destination for quality of life.
The initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision for a world-class social and healthcare system, promoting healthy living and top-quality preventive, physical, and mental health services.
Dubai Social Agenda 33
The Dubai Social Agenda 33 aims to position Dubai among the top three global cities of the world in terms of standard of living and to rank within the top 10 for life expectancy. This ambitious goal will be realised by spotlighting and enhancing the essential elements of mental well-being that Dubai already offers, further developing them to set the highest standards of community well-being.
The Mental Wealth framework encompasses 10 initiatives designed to maximise mental wealth within the community. It also prioritizes elderly, children, people of determination and those with chronic diseases.
These initiatives, set to roll out over the next five years, will be backed by an investment of AED 105 million.
