U.S.-Israeli strikes hit steel complexes in central and southwestern Iran, damaging production units, Iranian media reported Wednesday.
Initial assessments pointed to massive attacks, causing significant damage and destruction at the Mobarakeh Steel Company complex in the central province of Isfahan, according to the Fars news agency, citing a company statement.
The report said fresh strikes occurred Tuesday evening, hitting facilities in Isfahan and a subsidiary, Sefid Dasht Steel, in southwestern Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, which sustained damage and losses.
The Isfahan complex was also targeted on Friday, along with Khuzestan Steel factories in southwestern Iran.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Sunday they launched missile and drone strikes on aluminum plants in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates over the weekend, targeting industries linked to the U.S. military.
Steel remains strategically important for industrial and military production, including missiles, drones and ships.
Iran has been at war with the United States and Israel since Feb. 28, when strikes killed the country’s supreme leader and triggered a conflict that has spread across the region.
Regional tensions have escalated steadily since the initial attacks, raising concerns about wider disruptions to supply chains and industrial output across the Middle East. Global markets remain on edge.
