Aramco Digital and Groq, a leading company in AI inference technology, have announced a strategic partnership to establish the world’s largest inferencing data center in Saudi Arabia.
This collaboration represents a major leap forward in advancing Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and positioning the Kingdom as a global leader in AI and cloud computing, according to a report from the Saudi Press Agency.
The announcement was made during the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit), which recently concluded in Riyadh.
The new inferencing data center is a key part of Aramco Digital’s vision to harness cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational excellence and support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
By merging Groq’s state-of-the-art AI and machine-learning infrastructure with Aramco Digital’s strategic objectives, the partnership aims to revolutionize data processing and analytics across multiple industries.
The facility is expected to handle 5.28 million tokens per second by the end of 2024, with plans to increase capacity to 53 million tokens per second by 2025, setting a new benchmark in the industry and bringing advanced AI capabilities from Groq to the Kingdom.
